The goal of the Blog Manager will be to formalize and structure a balanced and profitable content strategy to grow the business while maintaining a strong reputation within the industry.
Content and Affiliate Marketing Management
- Content Strategy: Develop and implement a content strategy alongside the current team that aligns with WP Mayor’s goals, audience needs, and affiliate marketing objectives.
- Affiliate Marketing: Integrate affiliate marketing strategies into content creation, ensuring that content aligns with affiliate goals without compromising integrity and reader trust.
- Content Creation: Oversee the creation and publication of all content, ensuring it is relevant, accurate, and adheres to our quality and affiliate marketing standards.
- SEO & Affiliate Links: Ensure that all content and affiliate links are SEO-optimized to enhance visibility and drive organic traffic.
- Writer Coordination: Work closely with writers to plan, assign, and edit content, ensuring alignment with partner and affiliate marketing strategies.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all content is free from errors and aligns with our brand voice, guidelines, and objectives.
- Process Optimization: Continually refine and document content creation and management processes for enhanced efficiency and output.
Client and Affiliate Partner Communication
- Client Liaison: Manage communication with clients who opt for paid services such as Product Reviews and Partnerships.
- Affiliate Partner Coordination: Communicate and coordinate with affiliate partners to align content strategy with affiliate marketing goals.
- Content Monetization: Ensure that paid and affiliate content remains unbiased and transparent, adhering to our ethical guidelines.
Analytics and Reporting
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze content and affiliate marketing performance, using insights to refine our strategy.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to the CEO regarding content and affiliate marketing performance and strategy outcomes.

- Independence: Manage the blog autonomously, utilizing the CEO as a consultant rather than a task manager.

- Quality Control: Ensure all content and affiliate links are free from errors and inconsistencies.
- Process Management: Develop and refine processes for streamlined content management, affiliate marketing, and client communication.
- Internal: Ensure clear and concise communication with writers and other team members through all channels, be it Twist (chat), Notion, email, or internal comment systems.
- External: Manage client and affiliate partner communications professionally and efficiently.

Education and Experience
- Proven experience as a Blog Manager or similar role, with experience in affiliate marketing.
- Proficient in content management systems, SEO principles, and affiliate marketing strategies.
- Strong editorial skills and an excellent command of the English language.
Good to have, but not essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
Remuneration & Perks
The selected candidate will receive the following:
- $30,000 to $36,000 annual remuneration*
- 4 weeks of paid leave annually
- The freedom to work remotely, ideally based within the EU or US
- A flexible work schedule with at least a 4-hour daily overlap with the rest of the team

*The remuneration will vary depending on the level of experience and responsibilities taken on by the selected candidate.
